Woman dies in T escalator accident (Boston Globe)

To hear her only child tell it, Helen Jackson was 82 and vibrant. She was a regular at Sunday service and Wednesday choir rehearsal at Holy Tabernacle Church in Dorchester, and she spent much of her time volunteering at a day-care at the ABCD Head Start on Geneva Avenue, said her daughter, Citerial Trotman of Dorchester.

Zoo looking to bird show for cash (NWAnews.com)

They’re not yet operating on a wing and a prayer, but the Little Rock Zoo is hoping a new show featuring birds swooping over patrons’ heads will draw at least 35,000 more visitors this year compared with 2008 and help make up for lost city funding. (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Northwest Edition)
